MWR High Efficiency air filters take the incoming turbulent air, stabilize and accelerate it around the edge of the air splitter plate. This means a greater volume of air is evenly distributed throughout the air box. All inlets will get the same quantity of air regardless of speed on the motorcycle and the wind direction on the track.
This MWR kit is extra special in that it requires the removal of the upper half of the stock air box and then the MWR filter frame to be screwed into the box. An easy job and well worth the effort as the volume of incoming air is increased 1300% over the massively restrictive stock air box. With a proper tune this kit offers gains of 6-9hp throughout the rev range.
